The Internet of Things (IoT) is changing everything in the modern world, from agriculture, manufacturing and production, construction, the distribution of electric power to even new business models.

Under this premise, Chile saw the celebration of the first IoT INNOVATECH LATAM 2019congress and business fair, directed at professionals, businesses, the defense and security sectors, government and public sectors, retail and more.

During 60 sessions with 60 speakers and 50 exhibitors, the event went deep into the details of the technological transformation that IoT boosts, as well as A.I. and Blockchain.

Rafael Nuñez Aponte, MásQueSeguridad director, was part of the exhibitors’ panel, where he explained the risks of smart cities.

The specialist delved into the way cyber-criminals operate: An organizer details the accounts to be attacked, a programmer creates the necessary codes to make it possible and a delivery manager points out where the money should be delivered to. Thanks to the Kaspersky Lab team, it was possible to learn that there are many variables involved in this type of scam.

The event was organized by Meet&Greet, with the support of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) and Claro Empresas as the Sponsors of Things.
